Frequently asked questions

  • What is your low-cost clinic?

Every Saturday, we host a low-cost vaccine clinic. We run this on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Sign in starts at 8a and ends at 10:45a.

Due to the nature of walk-in visits, if you have a reactive dog, it may be best to schedule a private appointment during the week; however, if you let us know at sign-in, we do our best to accommodate.

Dog vaccinations are $50 for a full set
Outdoor cat vaccinations are $60 for a full set
Indoor cat vaccinations are $40 for a full set

These prices are for vaccines ONLY and do not include heartworm tests, physicals or fecal testing. Please bring samples for fecal testing.

Our phone line is turned off on Saturdays, please email or leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have an emergency please call the Frisco ER at 469-287-6767

  • Do you do nail trims, anal gland expression and grooming?

While we can do nail trims and anal gland expression, we do not offer grooming in this clinic.

Nail Trims: $12-20 (depending on size of dog)
    Anal gland expression: $30

Please walk-in on Saturday for nail trims if at all possible. This saves open time slots for sick/injured animals during the week.

A free nail trim is included with any service where a pet is put under anesthesia.

  • What is included in the annual packages?

Canine annual packages includes all 3 vaccinations, a fecal test, a heartworm test and a physical for $130

Feline annuals vary depending on whether or not the cat is indoor or outdoor

Indoor cat annual includes the vaccinations, physical and fecal for $90

Outdoor annual includes 3 vaccines, physical, and fecal for $110

These prices do not change on Saturdays.

  • Why does my pet even need a dental cleaning?

Aside from preventing or treating bad breath, dental cleanings are an important element of preventative care. An uncleaned mouth can develop into not just infections, bone decay, painful mouth and periodontal disease but can also contribute to their heart health as well. Brushing alone is not enough, it’s good to schedule a dental annually to keep your furry friend at their healthiest.

  • When is Dental month?

Dental month typically runs every February and September. Keep an eye on the website for any changes!

    Canine dental month: $380
    Feline dental month: $340

The prices listed are the out-the-door prices unless your pet requires antibiotics or pain management for very dirty or abscessed teeth.

A free nail trim is included with any service where a pet is put under anesthesia.

  • Why should I spay/neuter my animal?

Spaying/Neutering your pet not only helps prevent accidental litters and pet overpopulation, but also lengthens their lifespans, and prevents certain cancers or tumors and infections such as pyometra or prostate issues. Getting this procedure done ASAP also prevents bad habits from adult hormones to develop if done before the problem behaviors develop.

  • I forgot what to do for my pet's surgery appointment!

Drop off is between 7:30am- 8am, pickup is between 1pm -4pm unless we call you sooner. If you don’t hear from us earlier assume 1pm is the earliest. Please refrain from giving food and water after midnight the night before. We ask this to reduce vomiting risks associated with anesthesia and sedation. If a surgery appointment is a no call/no show, we charge a $50 penalty to the card number given at the time of scheduling. We do this because we block off our morning appointments for surgeries. Please call or email us to let us know you won’t be there to avoid this.
